It’s an exciting time for me right now, not just because I’ve self-published my first novel but because I’m getting to experience what it’s like to work for and receive exposure from the press. It’s truly a great thing to receive interest or positive feedback from people who have no bias towards you or inclination to do you any favours.
The Sorrow has already received its first review, and now I’ve just gotten my first interview by Indie Author Land, a great site dedicated to helping indie authors with exposure, completely free of charge.
Here is a small tidbit from the interview titled “Why you must read Azhar Lorgat’s The Sorrow”.
How easily do new storylines come to you? If we give you four random words – Man, Woman, Airport, Darkness – can you give us a brief storyline?
New storylines and ideas come fairly easily, because my mind is always working and occupied with either one of my books or another possible idea.
I wanted to give myself the shortest amount of time to think of a plot idea using those four words, so I timed myself for 60 seconds. I came up with this as a concept.

And yes, I was challenged to make up a story using those four words. It was really fun, and I might actually adapt that to a book someday. Check out the interview to see what I came up with.
Thanks so much Indie Author Land for the coverage, and your amazing work in helping out people like me.
